DELL'S highly-touted ultra-portable gaming notebook, Alienware M11x, has landed in Singapore. Brother launches printers for homes
BROTHER International Singapore has launched the DCP-195C and DCP-375CW, two new multifunction colour inkjet printers aimed at the space-conscious home user. They can print up to 30 black-and-white pages - or 27 colour pages - per minute and come with a flatbed colour scanner. The $148 DCP-195C (above) is aimed at the home user, while the $218 wireless networking- capable DCP-375CW is targeted at the home and home-office user. The latter features a 3.3-inch colour LCD display that lets users adjust settings and also preview images and documents before printing. Samsung serves up mobile PCs and HDDs
SAMSUNG Electronics has launched a raft of new notebooks, netbooks and external hard disk drives (HDDs). They comprise six new models from the South Korean company's R series notebooks and N series netbooks, and two models from its G series of external HDDs. Prices for the new notebooks - the R480, R430i and R430e - start at $1,099, while the new netbooks - the N220, N210 and N150 - start at $699. ObTech Asia-Pacific appoints new CEO
VETERAN NEC Corporation staffer Masaki Koizumi has been named chief executive officer of ObTech Asia-Pacific, a Singapore-based subsidiary of NEC which provides enterprise software solutions for the process industry. Mr Koizumi will be assisted by Michael Lim, who continues in his role as ObTech Asia-Pacific's group chief operating officer.
Fujitsu appoints new S'pore president
JAPANESE business technology solutions vendor Fujitsu has appointed Francis Goh as president of Fujitsu Singapore. Prior to taking on this role, the 40-year-old Singaporean was the vice-president of strategic sales at SAP North Asia. Mr Goh replaces Masaki Kajiyama, who has taken up a new position in the Fujitsu group. He reports to Lawrence Wee, Fujitsu Asia's regional chief executive officer.
